Learning something new

I admit, I don't know a lot about computers, but I can get around them ok. I'm always willing to learn something new. Today, I'm learning how to use the web to my advantage. Researching to see how I can build my business across the nation , help others to do the same, and not just stay in my backyard. Years ago, we had a phone ( and paid for long distance calls which was anything outside our town) and we had a car and yes we wrote with pen and ink and mailed letters too.  So if we wanted to see someone, or talk to them, it was almost cheaper to take that Sunday drive and just go visit them.

I have friends all over the USA. I LOVE meeting new people. I love to hear about where they live, what they do, what their town is like. People interest me, which is another reason why I love having a home business.  I can connect to so many different people. TheWeb can be a wonderful thing.

My goal is to find people who love Origami Owl as much as I do. I know they're out there, so I need to find a way to reach out to them. This business isn't for everyone. But there is a business out there for anyone who will look. You can make a nice income part time or full time. I know there are moms out there who have a hard working husband a few kids, but really would like to be able to have time for herself, fun with friends, and make an additional income to help out the family.

I'm not big on jewelry. Mind you I love jewelry!! Who doesn't?  Maybe you're wondering why I got into this business if I'm NOT a big jewelry person. Well, let me tell you.... I was invited to a Jewelry Bar ( home party) by a friend. I had no idea what it was, but I was curious. When I looked online at the website, my curiosity was a little stronger. I had to see this in person, ( plus it got me out of the house, a good excuse to visit a friend) . I immediately loved the concept of creating a locket with things that have meaning. My first locket I made consisted of a "daisy" because I like to do gardening - a #3 because I have 3 sons - D & L mine and my husbands initials - our birthstone for May which is when we got married - and an Army emblem for my son and DIL who are both in the Army.
I couldn't stop there, I was hooked, so I made a small rose gold locket with a birthstone for each of my grandchildren and added a silver heart that says Nana.

Once I joined the company and started doing in home jewelry bars, I was amazed with the lockets my customers made, either for themselves or a friend, mom, grandmother, or daughter. Each locket truly tells a story. VERY heartwarming.  I have to say,I've done a few other businesses in a a little over 30 years, but I never had this much fun. It truly is rewarding!
